LEVI3 AYERS (Thomas2, John1) b. Dec. 23,1801; m. Dec. 14, 1825, Philenda Johnson of Cornish, dau. of John and Hannah (Huggins) Johnson, b. Nov. 26, 1806, d. Aug. 25, 1885. He d. Jan. 20, 1860. A farmer and lived in south part of the town. Children, all b. in Cornish:
1. JOHN, b. Feb. 22, 1828; d. same day.
2. JOHN J., b. April 24, 1829; d. Dec. 5, 1855.
3. EDWIN T., b. Feb. 17, 1831.
4. HANNAH A., b. Nov. 13, 1834; d. Jan. 1, 1854.
5. ALMIRA H., b. Feb. 13, 1837; m. Jan. 2, 1855, Dr. James A. Davis, then of Claremont but afterwards of Lebanon. She d. April 5, 1874, leaving one child.
6. SARAH, b. June 13, 1839; d. July 29, 1839.
7. SARAH J., b. Aug. 3, 1840; m. Dec. 15, 1861, Andrew J. Gould of Newport. She d. Oct. 6, 1864. One child, Gideon Elmer, that d. April 24, 1868, aged 5.
8. PHILENDA M., b. Feb. 3, 1843; m. Oct. 16, 1861, Warren H. Fletcher of Eden, Vt. She d. Nov. 19, 1861.
9. CHARLES H., b. Jan. 14,1846; d. June 4, 1858.
10. L. FOSTER, b. May 7, 1848.
