7. HIRAM D.4 BARTLETT (John3, Nathaniel2, Samuel1) was b. Nov. 12, 1817; m. Feb., 1843, Sarah Ann Fellows of Cornish, dau. of John and Temperance (York) Fellows, b. Feb. 29, 1825, and d. May 9, 1896. Mr. Bartlett was a celebrated tenor drummer. He d. May 7, 1887. Children, all b. in Cornish:
i. ELLA M., b. April 26, 1845; m. Sept. 25, 1862, George E. Hilliard of Cornish. One child. (See Hilliard.)
ii. JOHN, b. Feb. 28, 1849. Leaving home at 17, he first served as prison guard at Windsor, Vt., two and one half years, then learned the tool-maker's trade at Smith and Wesson's factory at Springfield, Mass., and was supt. of the serving machine factory ten years. For nineteen years past has been supt. of the American Stove Co., with headquarters at Cleveland, O. He m. first, Nov. 20, 1872, Alice R. Rogers of Hartland, Vt. She d. July 28, 1892, leaving three sons; m. second, Aug. 22, 1893, Minnie E. Wilson of Cleveland, Ohio.
iii. EMMA ROSABEL, b. , 1854, and d. Jan. 13, 1860. 15. iv. DANIEL D., b. Aug. 27, 1856.
