She d 1820 Jan. 24, at Columbia, Ct., aged 98. 3-4-6-3 Molly, b 1767 Nov. 23, m Ambrose Geary; had 12 children, moved to near Tunkhannock, Pa. 3-4-6-4 Lucy, b 1769 Aug. 7, moved to San Francisco, Cal., m Ara Hosmer had 3 children, Ara, Nancy, Sophia. 3-4-6-5 James, Jr., b 1770 Nov. 23, m Susanna Bailey. 3-4-6-6 Samuel, b 1772 May 16 at Lebanon Ct., m Levine Babcock, d Otsego, Indiana. She d Otsego, Indiana. 3-4-6-7 Benjamin, b 1773 July 28, m Mary Ticknor, d 1856 Sept. 24, at Columbia. 3-4-6-8 Habitable, b 1775 Apr. 19, m Guy Robertson, d Columbia, Ct. 3-4-6-9 Aronson, b 1781 Aug. 25, moved to Victor, N. (Note) James Woodworth, Sr., (3-4-6) born Lebanon, Ct., d Columbia, Ct., was commissioned Ensign of militia Dec. 25, 1776. Was private of the continental line 1777 to 1778. James and his two wives buried in Columbia burying ground. His wife Hannah, "Amiable and beloved consort of Ensign James" d May 7, 1765, aged 27 years.
(Note) Archives State of Conn. vol. 1776 to 1780, Dec. 25, 1776 for notice of his commission, as Ensign. Corm. Revolutionary Archives, printed by the State of Conn. under the supervision of Adj. Gen. of the State, p 179 "James Woodworth, private Capt. Edward Earls Co. Enlisted Feb. 28, 1777 for 3 yrs. Discharged April 1778." Capt. Earls Company was a part of Col. Samuel Willie's regiment. The regiment in part assisted in repelling the enemy at Danbury, Ct. April 26-7, 1777. Went to camp at Peekskill in May 1777 and served in Parsons First Brigade under Putnam along the Hudson, when the Brigadier took post at West Point and later began the construction of heavy works, then Fort Wyllys.
