Long, William
The following data is extracted from Long Family Records.
(1817-1886), antiquary: s. Walter L of Corhampton, Hampshire; his mother was Lady Mary, eldest daughter of William Carnegie, seventh Earl of Northesk; he matriculated from Balliol College, Oxford, 1835, graduated B. A. in 1839, and proceeded M. A. in 1844; he was a justice of the peace for Somerset, an F. S. A., and passed his life as a country gentleman and a local antiquary.
