Deborah Herbert

The following data is extracted from Herbert Family Papers.

Deborah Herbert died July 6th, 1795. (She was the dau. of Amos White and Lucy. Tallman. Hist. & Gen. Misc. Vol 5, p.276.)

Jacob’s second wife was Hannah Allen, born Jan. 1. 1776; m. Sept. 14, 1797; died Dec. 25th 1865.” (In Marriage Book A of Burlington Co., Coll, of Gen. Soc. of Penna, Vol. 56, p. 8, is this entry “Jacob Herbert of Shrewsbury and Hannah Allen of Bordentown, M. Sept. 14, 1797, by William Russell, Justice of the Peace.)

“Scott Herbert married and lived at Deal, N. J; been dead a number of years. Left children”

“Margaret A. married John McCully of Newton. She died Feb. 20, 1866; he died about three years after; no issue.”
‘Susannah married Wm. Cook of Newton; she died Oct. 6. 1832; no issue.”
“Jacob Herbert married Deborah Wartdell, Feb. 7, 1845; he died Mar.15, 1874; no issue.”
“Louisa Augusta died Dec. 7, 1827.”
“Elizabeth mar. Major Wardell is now living with me in her 92nd year, has four children living. Hannah never married, now is living with her sister-in-law.”
