Was born in Lincoln county, Kentucky, August 30, 1835. He left his native State at the age of eleven years, in company with his parents, and settled in Grundy county, Missouri, where he received his education and grew to manhood. He began his present business of farming at the age of twenty-four years; removed to Daviess county in November, 1860, and has ever since resided here.
Mr. Sandidge was married in November, 1860, to Miss Rebecca, daughter of 'Squire Robert C. Williams. She was born in this county in 1841. They have six children: Ellen, Robert, Emma, Mary Wyatt, Charlie and George. The subject of this sketch is a Democrat and a prosperous and successful farmer. He is a valuable and highly respected citizen of the community in which he lives.
