Langford, Turner

The following data is extracted from History of Daviess County, Missouri - Jackson Township, Daviess County, Missouri, Biographies.

The subject of this sketch was born in Harrison County, Indiana, January 20, 1828. He is the second child of Anderson and Nancy Boston Langford. His father is a native of Virginia, and is now living in Iowa. 'Our subject left Indiana when about six years of age and went to McDonald County, Illinois. Two years afterward he moved to Van Buren County, Iowa. He grew to manhood in Iowa, working on his father's farm.

On March 18th, 1852, Mr. Langford was joined in marriage to Miss Elizabeth Davis, daughter of Beden Davis, at that time residents of Iowa.

He remained in Iowa until 1855, at which time he came to Daviess County, where he has made his home ever since. Mr. and Mrs. Langford are the parents of six children; viz., Clay C., Anderson, Alexander, Clarissa A., Tillman and Turner.

Mr. Langford is one of Daviess County's most valuable citizens. He owns a very fine farm and deals largely in stock.
