Erwin, Violet B. Clark
The following data is extracted from Shoshone County, Idaho Obituaries.
Private graveside services were held in the Mount Hope Cemetery in Baker, Ore., Thursday for Violet C. "Vi" Erwin, 79, a well-known Silverton resident who died January 2, 1989 at Silver Wood Good Samaritan Center, Silverton. Pastor Jerry McConnell officiated.
Mrs. Erwin was born May 4, 1909 in Canby, Ore., the daughter of William Clark and Carrie Anderson. She married Jack Erwin of Baker, October 19, 1929 in Spokane.
The Erwin's moved to this area in 1929 and lived in the Mullan and Burke areas. Vi was employed by the Bigsby Abstract, and some of its successors in Wallace for many years prior to her retirement in January of 1974.
She held membership in Bethany Lutheran Church. Her husband, Jack, died in June, 1966. Survivors include cousins, Elizabeth Keller of Grants Pass, Ore. and Anne Keller Struxness of Salem, Ore.; a sister-in-law, Ena Erwin of Baker, and several nieces and nephews, including Ronald and Dorothy Erwin of Burke.
The family suggests that memorials be made to the American Cancer Society, the Silver Wood Good Samaritan Center of Silverton, or a charity of the donor's choice.
