Bathurst, Hazel E. Magoon

The following data is extracted from Humboldt County, California Obituaries.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Brusie Funeral Home for Hazel E. Bathurst, 69, a former Chico resident who died in McKinleyville Thursday [November 23, 1972]. Services will also be held at 2 p.m. Monday at Paul's McKinleyville Chapel.

She was born in Gaston, Ore., Jan 16, 1903, and came to Chico as a child. She was in business here for many years and then for 25 years at Clam Beach and later in McKinleyville.

She is survived by her husband, A. J. "Slim" Bathurst of McKinleyville; a brother, Lowell Magoon of Chico; and a sister, Tyna Rimbey of Westhaven.

Interment will be in the Paradise Cemetery with Orville Rist, Keith Straughan, Don Cummings, Ernest Smith, Clyde Bowman and Gil Venos as pallbearers.
