He was about 50 years of age and is survived by his wife and a daughter. The funeral will be conducted Sunday afternoon at 1 o'clock by the Rev. B. J. Fike.

Mr. Smith was a gentleman of fine character and enjoyed the very high regard of all who knew him.

POSTPONE FUNERAL

Due to inability of relatives from outside points to reach here today, the funeral of the late Clay Smith, prominent prairie resident, was postponed until one o'clock tomorrow. Mrs. Gladys Emerson, a niece, and a sister of the deceased, the latter of Ellensburg, arrived today.

Business hours will close from one to two o'clock during the period of the funeral. The deceased was a member of the Christian Church and of the Odd Fellows and Woodmen of the World lodges. The Odd Fellows will attend the funeral in a body.
