SIXTH GENERATION
(60) JOHN6 (Thomas5 John6 Thomas3 Thomas 2 Thomas1), b. July 21, 1789. Resides in Marblehead; master mariner. He was engaged in privateering during the war of 1812—15, and was made a prisoner on board the Privateer Swordfish, of Gloucester, and retained on board H. M. Ship Glory, at Chatham in, Eng., until the peace. Married, first, Apr. 10, 1814, Ruth, dau. of Edward and Mary Brooks, b. 1795, d. April 19, 1825, aged 29. Married, second, Feb. 10, 1836, his cousin, Grace.

70. RUTH HASKELL7 b. Dec. 29, 1814; m. Oct. 1, 1837, Michael H., son of John, Jr. and Grace Bubier Reynolds (see Haskell Family), b. Jan. 27, 1819; lives in Marblehead; shoe manufacturer.
