Former Resident Passes At La Grande Hospital-by Martha Crow
Earl Young passed away in a hospital at La Grande Friday, November 21.
He was born on a farm near Enterprise in June, 1899 and spent much of his early life in Wallowa County.
He was a veteran of World War I. The past several years he made his home in the Sommer Hotel in la Grande where he had many friends.
Several time a year he visited in Lostine with relatives and friends. He leaves to mourn his loss a sister, Arla Womack of Lostine, a brother, Curtis Young of Hood River, and several nephews and nieces.
He was laid to rest in the Summerville cemetery, Nov.24, at 2 o’clock.
