Charles Wilkinson, aged 16, the son of John Wilkinson of High Valley, was drowned in a slough near Hendershott’s point last Saturday afternoon. He was in company with other boys who had gone to the place for the purpose of bathing.
The full particulars of the accident have not been received further than the fact that the boy was unable to swim, and sometime after entering the slough his body was discovered in deep water but a few feet distant from the bank.
