Hazel G. Wilcox, 97, of Baker City, Ore., died July 21, 2006, at St. Elizabeth Care Center in Baker City.
A graveside service was held on July 26, 2006, 9 a.m. at Mount Hope Cemetery. Pastor Roger Scovil of the Baker City Christian Church officiated.
Vault Interment was at Mount Hope Cemetery.
A reception was held at the Baker City Christian Church.
Hazel was born Aug. 17, 1908, at Eureka, Kan., the daughter of Elmer D. and Daisy J. Garner. At the age of 5 years the family moved to Wieser, Idaho. Later they moved to Midvale, Idaho, Corvallis, Ore., and Philomath, Ore. She married Chester L. Wilcox on Sept. 3, 1930, at Corvallis, Ore. In 1937, they with their small son, moved to Baker City where they lived the rest of their lives.
They were members of the Baker City Christian Church since 1937. Mr. Wilcox died July 3, 1969. Mrs. Wilcox was also preceded in death by three brothers; three sisters; and a grandson, Carl Wilcox.
