Baker City, Oregon

Donna Marie Tally, 68, of Myrtle Point and a former Baker City resident died, Wednesday, July 14, 2004, at Myrtle Point.

Funeral service was held Sunday, July 18, 2 p.m. at the Myrtle Point Baptist Church with Pastor Dale Brown officiating.

Graveside service and vault interment were held Wednesday July 21, 10 a.m. at the North Powder Cemetery in North Powder.

Arrangements were under the direction of Amling/Schroeder Funeral Service Myrtle Point Chapel.

Donna was born to Clifford and Goldie (Perkins) Weaver June 27, 1936, in La Grande. She graduated from La Grande High School. She was married to Kerwyn Tally on Feb. 4, 1956, in La Grande.

Donna was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She enjoyed gardening, spending time with her family and was an avid Portland Trail Blazer fan. In 1972 the family moved to Myrtle Point from Baker City. She worked for Roseburg Lumber in Coquille until her retirement in 2002. Donna was a member of Coquille Valley Women’s Bowling Association.

Survivors include, her husband, Kerwyn Tally of Myrtle Point; son and wife, Robert and Irene Tally, Pendleton; daughter and husband, Linda and Randy Cotton, Coos Bay; son and wife, John and Cathy Tally, Fairchild, AFB; sisters, Gloria Borchers, The Dalles and Iola Abbott, Caldwell, Idaho; 11 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Donna was preceded in death by her parents and sisters, Enid Weaver and Wanda Hawkins.
