Michael Lee Ireland, 50, of Baker City, died Nov. 2, 2006, at his home.
A celebration of his life will be scheduled later.

Michael was born on Jan. 20, 1956, at Zama, Japan, to Francis and Delores Ireland.

Shortly after his birth, his family moved to Payette, Idaho, where he grew up and attended area schools. After graduating, he served in the U.S. Army from 1975 to 1979. Michael then went to school to become a journeyman lineman and made that his career for 28 years.

He loved his job very much. Many of his co-workers became lifelong friends. He will be missed greatly by them all.

Michael cherished the time he spent with his two sons, Michael and Quade. He truly believed in family values.

Michael met the love of his life, Tina Johnson, in 2001. They had many adventures together and made plans for many more in the future.

Michael’s hobbies included hunting, fishing, riding his Harley and spending time outdoors. Michael was a kind and generous person and was always there to help others. He will truly be missed by us all, his family said.

Survivors include his mother, Delores Ireland of Payette, Idaho; two sons, Michael Francis Ireland and Quade Farrell Ireland, both of Nampa, Idaho; a sister, Patricia Saw, and her husband, John; two nieces, Ashley and Amber Saw, and a nephew, Aaron Saw, all of Vale; his fiancee and best friend, Tina Johnson, and her son, Austin Baggerly, of Baker City.

He was preceded in death by his father, Francis J. Ireland; and a brother, Robert Ireland.
