Conrad C. Huntsman, 88, of Boise, died Jan. 29, 2006.

His funeral will be at 1 p.m. Friday at the Boise Cherry Lane LDS Chapel, 3020 Cherry Lane. Visitations will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Relyea Funeral Chapel, and from noon to 12:45 p.m. at the church on Friday prior to the service. Interment will be at Hillcrest Cemetery in La Grande at noon PST Saturday.

Conrad was born on Dec. 29, 1917, at Provo, Utah, to Emery Huntsman and Elsie Caroline Shipp. He grew up in Baker City and was a 1936 Baker High School graduate. He served an LDS mission in the Great Lakes area.

He married Marell Waite on April 3, 1942, at the Salt Lake City Temple. They raised their family in La Grande. He worked as a warehouse foreman for La Grande Fruit Co. for 25 years. He held various other jobs through the years. He moved to Boise in 1984 to work in the Boise Temple.

He enjoyed watching his children and grandchildren playing in various sporting events. He traveled many miles to attend family members’ special church events and graduations. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and walking.
He was a master gardener, raising a garden every year until he was 85. He enjoyed watching his favorite sports teams, the Brigham Young University Cougars, Boise State University Broncos, Utah Jazz, and Atlanta Braves. He loved telling stories, and talking to people.

He was a lifetime member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He was a member of the Boise 14th Ward.

Survivors include his wife of nearly 64 years, Marell of Boise; his children and their spouses, Jan Green of Boise, Joyce and Douglas Higley of Emmett, Idaho, John and JoAnn of Athena, Kathleen and Wayne Jensen of Sutherlin, David and Betty of Baker City, E. Christine and Gerry Rogalsky of Boise, Vaughn and Elaine of Rock Springs, Wyo., Loren and Shelly of Lyman, Wyo., and Donna Huntsman of Boise; 54 grandchildren; 60 great-grandchildren; a brother, D. Felton of Seattle, Wash.; and a brother-in-law, Russell Waite of Pendleton.

He was preceded in death by his son, Warren Frank; one grandson; and three great-grandchildren.
