William D. Hughes, 87, a former Baker City resident, died Feb. 26, 2006, at Portland.
His funeral will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church. The Finley-Sunset Hills Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Hughes was born at Baker City on Oct. 11, 1918. He married Alice Mae Bergeson in 1949. She died in 1985. He had lived at Portland since 1957. He was a graduate of Oregon State University at Corvallis and served as a U.S. Navy pilot in World War II as a lieutenant commander.
Survivors include his son, Robert D. Hughes; and a daughter, Rebecca A. White.
