Wilford Lovell Gover, Sr., 67, a resident of Pine Valley, died Tuesday night at his home.
Services will be Friday at 2 p.m. at the Christian Church in Halfway with the Rev. Arthur Harriman and the Rev. Ed Neuenfeldt officiating. Burial will be in Pine Haven Cemetery.
Friends may call at the church from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. Friday as the casket will not be opened at the service.
Mr. Gover, son of William and Rebecca Gover, was born in Richland, Ore., Jan. 31, 1893, attended schools in Eagle Valley and business college in Salem. He moved to Pine Valley in 1921 and operated his ranch there.
He was married to Velma Estes in Baker on Sept. 18, 1922.
Survivors are his widow; a son, Lovell Gover, Jr., and a daughter, Barbara Barton, both of Halfway; two brothers, Walter of Walla Walla, Wash., and David of New Bridge; a sister, Reba McPartland of Richland; three grandsons; one great granddaughter; several nieces and nephews.
