Vernon Emile Dies Suddenly
Ex- Army Engineer, Was Native of Baker

Vernon Allen Emele, 35, of Baker died suddenly today at noon at his home, 2306 Church Street.

Born January 20, 1906 in Baker.

Mr. Emele served in company E. sixth engineers, Fort Winfield Scott, California in the United States Army for a time, being discharged in 1929.

He had lived in Baker many yearsand for the last seven had been employed by McKim and Son.

Mr. Emele is survived by his widow, Odessa; two sons, Elmer and Vernon, Jr. of Baker; his mother, Mrs. Elsie Emele of Baker; three brothers, Alfred of Portland and Harry and Donald of Baker and three sisters, Mrs. Michael O’Donnell of Baker, Melda Emele of Portland and Barbara Emele of Salem.

No Funeral arrangements have been made. The body is at the West and company funeral parlor.
