Dimmick, Lucy A. Warner Mrs. – Obituary

Lucy A. Dimmick, of La Grande, a former Baker City resident, died Dec. 16, 2002, at Evergreen Health and Rehab Center in La Grande.

Her graveside service will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Mount Hope Cemetery. Pastor Art Evans of La Grande’s New Life Center-Assembly of God Church in La Grande will officiate.

Mrs. Dimmick was born Oct. 16, 1906, at Linsley, Okla. She was a daughter of Albert J. and Jennie E. Coates Warner. She married Willard R. Reeves in September 1935 at Fay, Okla. They had a son, which died as an infant.

The couple later separated. She met and married James E. Dimmick, an evangelist minister, in Oklahoma during his travels. They were married in 1958 at Raton, N.M., and they settled in Baker City shortly afterward. He died in 1972.

She loved children and always admired people who had them. She loved to quilt and made beautiful ones.

She was preceded in death by her husband, son and family. She is survived by her friends and church family in La Grande and special friends, Terri Folsom of Coos Bay and Art Evans of La Grande.

Memorial contributions may be made to La Grande’s New Life Center through Coles Funeral Home, 1950 Place St., Baker City, OR 97814.
