Lostine, Wallowa County, Oregon

Memorial Services were conducted by the Bollman Funeral Home Monday at 2 p.m. at the United Presbyterian church in Lostine for Berl Virgil Caudle who passed away Friday, September 18, 1964 at St. Anthony’s Hospital in Pendleton where he had been a patient for 5 days. Robert P. Rogers Jr. officiated and Steven crow was organist. Mrs. Orval McArtor and Mevin Crow sang ” Near To The Heart Of God’ and ” No Night There”

Casket bearers were: Bud Wyanns, Myrl Zollman, Orval McCartor, Audas Bechtel, Lester Emmons and Glenn Allen and internment was in the Lostine Cemetery.

The deceased was born November 11, 1902 at Lostine, son of Berkley and Carrie Caudle and had lived there near all of his life. He was a dairy farmer by occupation. On May 17, 1923 he was married at Enterprise to Beula Keeler who survives him. He was a member of the Christian church.

Besides his wife, he is survived by his mother, Mrs. Carrie Caudle, of Lostine; two daughters, Mrs. ” Bud ” ( Beline ) Haun, of Lostine, and Mrs. Jack ( Berniss ) Bechtel, of Centrailia, Washington; two brothers, Joe and Harley, of Lostine; one sister, Mrs. Bill ( Ethyl ) Hook, of Milton-freewater; and tw0 grandchildren, Jeanette Haun and Lori Bechtel.
