Memorial to Mrs. Effie Busick,

Effie Cusick was born in the Mount Pleasant neighborhood, near Scio, in Linn county, Oregon, September 27, 1866. In 1885 she came to this county, making her home with her brothers W. S. And S. F. Cusick, in the Powder River Valley.

She was united in marriage to Arthur N. Busick November 18, 1886. The next spring, April 10, they moved to their home near Union.

Ever since, over 38 years, this has been her home-to her the most sacred place on earth. Her she has happily lived and toiled with her husband of her youth. Here she bore and reared her family.

Five children were born into this home. One died at birth. the four living are-Eunice, Alphia, Robert A. and Dorothy.

She is also survived by her husband, Arthur N. Busick; a brother, S. F. Cusick, of Union; Mrs. ES. J. Dailey, of Scio, Oregon, and Mrs. Hattie Dodds of Boise, Idaho.

On June 9th, 1901, Mrs. Busick united with the Presbyterian church of Union on confession of her faith in Christ.

After a brief but painful illness she passed away July 28, 1925. Her age was 58 years, 10 months and 1 day.

The funeral took place from her late residence, Friday, July 31, services by Rev. J. Edward Blair of the Presbyterian church, and was largely attended.

Mrs. Busick was a loving wife and mother, a good neighbor, and her death is regretted by a large circle of friends.
