Burford, Ivy Myrtle (Ross) – Obituary

Union, Union County, Oregon

Ivy M. Burford of Union, died Wednesday at a local hospital at the age of 80.

Mrs. Burford was born on September 16, 1890 at Union, the daughter of Frank and Emma Ross. She lived in Union County all her life and attended schools in Union.

She was a member of the Baptist Church and the American Legion Auxiliary. She was an avid gardner.

Survivors include a son, Clifford of Eugene, Ore.; sisters, Ellen Alexander, Union; and Belle Hutchinson, La Grande, brothers, Archie Ross, Klamath Falls, Ore.; and Norman Ross, La Grande; seven grandchildren and other relatives. She was preceded in death by her husband Orphie, daughter, Luella Barnhart and two sisters, Virgie Burford and Delia Alexander.

Funeral Services will be held on Saturday at 2 p.m. at the Union Methodist Church with Rev. Al Boschee officiating. Vault interment will follow at the Union Cemetery.
