Broadie, Vicky Lynn Scott Mrs. – Obituary

Vicky Lynn Broadie, 51, a longtime Baker City resident known as Lynn to her family and longtime friends, died Dec. 3, 2007, at her home in Baker City, surrounded by her loving family and friends after a long and courageous battle with cancer.

A celebration of life was held today at the Elkhorn Baptist Church.

Visitation will be held today from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. at Gray’s West & Company Pioneer, 1500 Dewey Ave.
Lynn worked as a C.N.A. for many years in the Baker area. She also worked for Marvin Wood Products and the last couple of years worked for Guardian Home Health Care until she became ill.

Lynn was a very loving and caring person, always thinking of other before herself even in her time of illness.
She loved to spend time in the surrounding mountains of Baker County with friends and family, and in her free time you would find her out fishing and camping with family and friends and spending most of the time with her grandkids, whom she loved dearly. She also had a very strong love for all her animals.

Survivors include her husband, Rick Broadie of Baker City; her parents, Stella and George Scott of Baker City; her son, Brian Scott of Baker City; two daughters, Tonya Pierce and her husband, Scott, and Jessica Spivey, all of Baker City; stepchildren, Chad Broadie and his wife, Tina, Roark Broadie and Wess Broadie, all of Baker City; siblings and their spouses, Caroline and Curt Wilson of Baker City, Albert and Teresa Scott of Baker City, Sam and Diane Humphrey of Rifle, Colo., Stan and Dee Hess of Lemoore, Calif., Ron and Dolly of Henniker, N.H.; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and grandkids.

Her grandmother Meda Scott preceded her in death.
