Bolling, Charlene Mae Hatch Mrs. – Obituary

Charlene Mae Bolling, 62, died on March 12, 2007, at Haines.

There will be a memorial service and a celebration of her life at 1 p.m. Thursday at the Haines United Methodist Church. Friends are invited to join the family for a reception afterward in the Haines United Methodist Church Fellowship Hall.

Charlene Mae was born on July 29, 1944, at Kearney, Neb., to Elmer and Arletta May Ruhs Hatch. The family moved to Grand Island, Neb., where she was raised and graduated from high school.

On Nov. 10, 1979, Charlene married Larry Bolling at Grand Island, Neb. Charlene was one of the first to be hired with the chain department store Wilco and when it closed down years later, she was one of the last to leave.

Charlene and Larry moved to Haines 11 years ago. Charlene worked for the Super 8 Motel as a desk clerk and worked as a janitor for the Interpretive Center.

She had a spunky personality, but was a very private person. She enjoyed crocheting and liked being at home.
She was preceded in death by her parents.

Survivors include her husband, Larry, of Haines; stepchildren, Alex Bolling of Marysville, Tenn., Jeff Bolling, Lori Bowling and Stacy Bolling, all of Nebraska; brother, Jim Hatch; nephews, Rusty and Jaysen; and very good friend, Julie Folsom.

Memorial contributions in may be made to Pathway Hospice through Tami’s Pine Valley Funeral Home, P.O. Box 543, Halfway, OR 97834.
