Basman, June Dorothea Ankrom Mrs. – Obituary

June Basman, 88, a former Richland resident, died Dec. 27, 2007, at Island Health and Rehabilitation Center in Merritt Island, Fla.

June Dorothea Basman was born on July 3, 1919, at Augusta, Ill., to Eli and Bertha Matheny Ankrom. She was raised and educated at Grosse Pointe, Mich. After graduation, she went to work for Lincoln Motors, making parts for tanks during World War II.

Survivors include her daughter, Sandra Storme Kramer of Cocoa, Fla.; her son, Christopher Reid Basman of Marteniz, Calif.; and grandchildren, Ryan and Sara.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Louis; a son, Mark; a sister, Geneve Steward; and a brother, Ed Ankrom.

Memorial contributions may be made to The Salvation Army or Pathway Hospice through Tami’s Pine Valley Funeral Home, P.O. Box 543, Halfway, OR 97834.
