S., 1886; married, Alliance, O., June 18, 1889, Maggie M. Atwell; issue, two girls and one son; councilman and mayor of Chagrin Falls, O.; member of the Ohio State Senate from Cuyahoga County, 1904-1905; teacher District School, Principal Mt. Union Public Schools, 1866-1867; supt. Chagrin Falls schools, 1888-1901; granted life high school certificate in 1886; director The Chagrin Falls Banking Co.; member Cleveland Fire Insurance Exchange; pres. Chagrin Falls Board of Education, 1907; trustee Chagrin Falls M. E. Church; member I. O. O. F., No. 290; Golden Gate Lodge, No. 245, P. & A. M.; Chagrin Falls Chapter, No. 152, R. A. M.; Oriental Commandery, No. 12, Knights Templars; earned every dollar he ever had to spend on a college education.
