Biographical Sketch of Elmer A. French

French, Elmer A.; general contractor; born, Cleveland, Mar. 20, 1880; son of Albert and Harriet E. Maguire French; went through Lakewood High School, class of 1899; is a grandson of R. G. French, who settled in Lakewood (which was East Rock Port at that time), about 1830; he was a carpenter and contractor, one of the best of his time; many of the buildings that he constructed are still standing; has given up house contracting and has taken up asphalt shingle roofing as a specialty. Recreations: Sports of all kinds.
