Entered the service at Clayton, N.C., Jan. 9, 1918, and sent to Norfolk, Va. Promoted to rank of Q. M. C., 3rd Class, 1918. Served on U. S. S. Raleigh. Mustered out of the service at Key West, Fla., Jan. 14, 1919.
