Sent to Camp Jackson, then Camp Sevier, Camp Pike, Camp McArthur and Camp Cody. Promoted to rank of Sergt. November, 1917; 2nd Lt. May 15, 1918. Mustered out at Camp Cody Dec. 1, 1918.
