Corpl., Co. 3, 81st Div., 306th Supply Train; of Pitt County; son of J. H. and S. D. Corey. Husband of Mrs. Laura Gertrude Corey. Entered service May 25, 1918, at Greenville, N.C. Transferred to Camp Mills, N. Y. Sailed for France Aug. 5, 1918. Fought at Verdun Sector, Meuse-Argonne, St. Die. Returned to USA June 24, 1919. Mustered out at Camp Lee, Va., July 9, 1919.
