George B. Griffin

Entered the service June 2, 1918, at Concord, N.C. Was sent to St. Helena, Va., and from there to Hampton Roads, Va., Naval Operating Base. Transferred to U. S. S. “Virginian.” Made two trips across on convoy duty. When Armistice was signed was transferred to the Great Lakes, Ill. Main Station Commisary Dept. On Sept. 24, 1919, was released from active duty at Camp Berry, Great Lakes, Ill.
