S. Kansas, U. S. S. Connecticut, U. S. S. Matsonia. Sailed for St. Nazaire, France, June 26, 1917. Promoted to rank of Chief Electrician Oct. 1, 1918. Made 10 complete trips during war, five after transport duty. Returned to USA June 10, 1919, Newport News, Va. Mustered out at Newport, R. I., July 19, 1920.
