Mechanic, Inf., Co. D, 31st Div., 122nd Reg.; of Pitt County; son of George W. and Mrs. Martha Brigman. Entered service June 27, 1916, at Greenville, N.C. Sent to Camp Harris, Ga. Transferred to Camp Wheeler, Ga. Sailed for France June 20, 1918. Arrived in USA Aug. 5, 1919, at Hoboken, N. J. Served nine months with R. T. C. in France, four months with D. C. I. Dept., at Bordeaux. Mustered out at Camp Gordon, Aug. 13, 1919.
