hello
I don’t know where to start looking for my maternal great grand mother’s parents.
She was a Mohawk, adopted by a fench couple in L’Assomption,
there is a strong opinion that she was of one of the families of the St Regis community.
She was ‘adopted’ by Jean Batpiste Andre Brien Desrocher and Marie Perreault. of L’Assomption and given the name Marguerite Brien.
I have spent on 3 DNA tests before knowing of her natioanlity,
and many hours searching, and I ask you to please ‘guide me in the right direction’
She is important to me…
p.s. I am metis already. and so proud
thank you
Megwetch
