Thomas Ayers

THOMAS2 AYERS (John1) was b. Jan. 17, 1763; m. , Lydia Bartlett
of Cornish, dau. of Samuel and (Downer) Bartlett, b. Aug. 8, 1760, and d. Jan. 15, 1830. A farmer and lived near the center of the town on the farm recently owned and occupied by Dan W. Cole and more recently by Henry C. Kendrick. He d. Nov. 24, 1843. Children, all b. in Cornish:

1. MARY, b. Jan. 15, 1793; m. June 29, 1813, Benjamin Smith, Jr. Three children. (See Smith.) She d. Nov. 15, 1872, aged 79. He d. May 28, 1873, aged 79.
2. LYDIA, b. Oct. 16, 1795; m. , Geo. Elisha Smith of Cornish. No children. She d. Feb. 15, 1841.
3. JOHN, b. Feb. 21, 1797; m. Feb. 11, 1823, Louisa True, b. Dec. 17, 1798; d. Sept. 1, 1884. Six children. Lived in Berlin, Vt.
4. SAMUEL,. b. Dec. 27, 1798.
5. LEVI, b. Dec. 23, 1800.
6. BENJAMIN, b. Feb. 11, 1803.
7. THOMAS, JR., b. March 22, 1805 m. Sarah Hoyt.
8. HANNAH, b. Sept., 1807; d. Jan. 12, 1808.
9. STEPHEN M., b. Feb. 6, 1809.
10. HANNAH, 2D, b. April 19, 1811; m. Jan. 13, 1836, James Kendrick, then of Cornish. Three children. (See Kendrick.) Lived chiefly in Claremont. She d. April 21, 1904.
11. IRA, b. May 23, 1814; m. Oct. 3, 1843, Maria M. Rogers of Hartland, Vt. They resided in West Windsor, Vt. Three children. He d. 1893.
