5. STILLMAN3 COBURN (Richard2, Merrill1) was b. Feb. 15, 1816; m. May 20, 1840, Martha W. Mathews. b. Nov. 8, 1815, d. Aug. 29, 1889. Always res. on or near the Flat. He was a blacksmith. He d. March 17, 1875. Children, all b. on the Flat:

i. MARTIN VAN BUREN, b. June 11, 1841; m. Dec. 24, 1863. Julia Sanderson of Weathersfield, Vt. Four children. He d. July 29, 1900.
ii. ESTELLE H., b. May 30, 1843: m. Sept. 5, 1865, Barney Barker, then of Hanover. Res., Rutland, Vt. Three children.
iii. LUETTE L., b. July 28. 1845; m. first, Aug. 30, 1862, Sylvester Tasker of Cornish, a soldier of the Civil War who d. in service Sept. 19, 1864. He m. second, June 6, 1866, Wilbur F. Howard of Cornish. Five children. (See Howard.) She res. in Lebanon (1910).
iv. CLARA M., b. Feb. 18, 184S; m. Oct. 3, 1869, Rev. Henry Davis, a Baptist preacher. – children.
v. JOHN S., b. Sept. 10, 1850: d. Jan. 3, 1852.
vi. EDITH MAY (adopted), b. Aug. 14, 1860. She m. Jan. 17. 1884, Edwin Davis. -children.
