3. JOHN3 BARTLETT (Nathaniel2, Samuel1) was b. Nov. 14. 1756; m. -, Polly Williams, a sister of Stephen Williams, Sr., and dau. of Samuel Williams, b. June 17, 1793, and d. Aug. 24, 1849; m. second, April 3, 1850, Mrs. Elizabeth M. (Bailey) Kendrick, b. Dec. 18, 1806, and d. March 23, 1881. He d. March 4, 1869. He was a farmer and also an expert drummer in the state militia, as were several others of the Bartletts. Children, all by first wife and b. in Cornish:

7. i. HIRAM D., b. Nov. 12, 1817.
ii. ANNA F., b. Dec. 22, 1819; m. Sept. 17, 1844, John Weld of Cornish. Four children. (See Weld.) She d. Oct. 4, 1898.
8. iii. HORACE L., b. Sept. 21, 1822.
iv. MARCIA L., b. Dec. 25, 1824; m. May 13, 1846, Gilbert Gross Hilliard. They had one child, Addie. Mrs. Hilliard d. Aug. 17, 1848.
v. LUCIA L., b. April 10, 1827; m. first, March 22, 1855, Alonzo B. Williams. One child, a dau.. b. March 27, 1858. air. Williams d. Aug. 17, 1858; she m. second, April 27, 1860, Sandborn Moses, then of Northfield, Vt., and by him had three children. He d. March 27, 1905. She is living, in 1906, in Two Harbors, Minn.
vi. GEORGE W., b. Aug. 12,1829; m. Nov. 8, 1857, Lavina Bugbee. Had three children: Edna, Arthur E., and Mabel. air. Bartlett d. Jan. 28. 1874.
vii. SAMUEL FRANK, b. Jan. 31, 1832; m. April 8, 1856, Jane D. Stone, dau. of Solomon and Betsey F. (Reed) Stone, b. June 30, 1834, and d. Aug. 27, 1893. Two daughters: 1. Effie Jane, b. May 18, 1857, who m. Charles Boyd, and d. Jan. 20, 1888. 2. Hattie Evelvn. b. Aug. 14, 1859, whom. Nov. 5.1878, Lucius W. Small. Two daus. res. in Windsor, Vt. Mr. Bartlett d. April 6, 1864.
viii. FANNY. b. April 6, 1835: m. Nov. 17. 1866. George B. Frost. Two children: Nettle and Eugene. Mrs. Frost d. March 10, 1897.
