2. ELIAS5 BINGHAM (Lemuel4, Samuel3, Thomas2-1) was b. Sept. 28, 1753; m. first, Nov. 2S, 1776, Vashti Elderkin of Windham, Conn., b. July 19, 1753, at Norwich, Conn., and d. Sept. 3, 1804, in Cornish, aged 51; m. second, -, 1805, Hannah T. b. -, 1764, d. Dec. 10, 1827 aged 63. He d. May 17, 1829. He, with both wives, is buried in Cornish. By first wife he had ten children and one by second wife. The first three were b. in Windham, Conn., the rest in Cornish.

i. LUTHER, b. April 5, 1775; m. March 1, 1801, Polly Comings of Cornish, dau. of Col. Benjamin and Mary (Cooper) Comings, b. Feb. 17, 1781, and d. Aug. 30, 1847. Nine children. Res. in Morristown, Vt. He d. Dec. 10, 1846.
ii. ELI As, JR., b. July 22, 1779.
iii. LEMUEL, b. March 23, 1781.
iv. LYDIA, b. April 18, 1784; d. Nov. 11, 1819, unm.
3. v. JEDEDIAH, b. Sept. 10, 1786.
vi. JOHN, b. Aug. 17, 1788; m. Oct. 12, or Nov. 13, 1810, Lydia Thompson of Cornish, dau. of Loring and Polly Thompson, b. Nov. 22, 1785, and d. . He d. in Cornish Jan. 11, 1854. Had res. much in Morristown, Vt. One recorded dau. b. to them, June 22, 1811, Vashti Fidelia.
vii. ORIGEN, b. April 30, 1790.
viii. LUCY, b. Nov. 21, 1791.
ix. HANNAH P., b. May 31, 1793; m. Dec. 27, 1815, Joseph Huggins of Cornish. Had five children. (See Huggins.) She d. March 14, 1879.
x. CALVIN, b. Dec. 23, 1796.

By last wife:

xi. MARY HUNTINGTON, b. March 27, 1806; m. , Elijah P. Kenyon. Lived in Cornish. Six children. (See Kenyon.)
