Daniel Elliott Carroll

DANIEL ELLIOTT CARROLL who lived in Cornish from 1857 to 1880, was great-grandson of Daniel Carroll3, the brother of Samuel3. His father, Charles,
was b. in Croydon and m. Sarah Elliott. He was b. in Croydon Nov. 1, 1817; m. first, Sophronia Burt of Thetford, Vt., b. Feb. 25, 1820, by whom he had three children; he m. second, May 2, 1876, Lucy Parker. No children. He d. in March, 1899. Children, all b. in Croydon:

1. DANIEL E., JR., b. Sept. 2, 1846; m. first, Feb. 20, 1870, Ella F. Collins, dau. of Edward W. and Deliah (Forehand) Collins, b. April 20, 1847, d. Oct. 29, 1877, leaving two children.
A. Florence Ella, b. Cornish April 1, 1871. She m. April 28, 1895, Dr. Robert Thornburgh. Res., N. Y. City. One child, Thomas T., b. Aug. 15, 1896.
B. Maurice Edward, b. in Cornish Feb. 9, 1873. Soon after the death of his wife, Mr. C. left Cornish for Belmont, Mass., where he resides. He m. second, Urania M. Munson of St. George, N. B., Nov. 2, 1886. One child.
2. JULIA R., b. Aug. 20, 1848, m. April 9, 1869, Frank P. Hood, of . Lowell, Mass.
3. DORA A., b. May 3, 1852; m. Feb. 11, 1872, James A. Pierce of Lowell, Mass.
