2. CALEB5 CHASE (Caleb4, Daniel3, Moses2, Aquilla1) was b. March 19, 1755; m. -, Tabitha Bemis, b. -, 1755, and d. Feb. 25, 1831, aged 76. One record says they came to Cornish from Brookfield, Mass., in 1780, with a small family; the rest of the children were b. in town. Mr. Chased. Jan. -, 1843. Children:

i. PERSIS, b. April 18, 1775; m. -, Cyrus Freeman of Plainfield She d. July 22, 1793, aged 19. No issue.
ii. HENRY B., b. Jan. 27, 1777; m. -, Dolly Bean; settled in Warner and was a prominent lawyer there; was first postmaster of Warner, representative, senator, clerk of the senate, speaker of the house in 1S17, first register of probate for Merrimack Co. He d. Jan. 11. 1854. Four children.
iii. MARY, b. Jan. 19, 1779.
iv. PHEBE, b. March 28, 1781; m. June 18 (or 26, town record), 1804, John Parmelee of Newport. Settled and lived there. Had nine children. Shed. Sept. 30, 1838.
v. CALEB SEWALL, b. May 18, 1783.
vi. JUDITH, b. July 25, 1785.
vii. CATHRINE, b. July 27, 1788.
viii. DANIEL, b. Aug. 26, 1790.
ix. SARAH P., b. March 27, 1796.
x. NEHEMIAH, b. Sept. S, 1798, d. April 5, 1813.
