Comment: According to my father, his mother was full blooded Chippauwa and married his father William Hammel around 1900. His mother left the reservation and was killed by his father around 1915 when my father was 7 years old. Everyone was forbidden to discuss what happened and my father was taken away by the state within a year. I don't know anymore then that but have tried to get information for years concerning my Indian heritage. Can anyone help me?
