My focus is on the Brule Sioux, as Teresa and all of the children show up on the Brule Indian yearly census rolls from the late 1890's through 1906.

Then moved to Michigan where I find his son, Calvin Dwight Smith had a homestead in Butler Township, Branch County, Michigan. It is thought, in my family, that Lucy may have been a resident at a Native American boarding school in Southern Michigan. She may have been come from Dakota territory. She died in 1888 and is buried in the Dayburg Cemetary, Butler towmship, Branch County, Michigan.

She left my great great grandfather (David F. Eutsler) and their four children around 1906, and remarried a man with the last name of Hunter. She died in Colorado in 1915.
