Ancestors Name: , Tecumopeas
Nee: Tecumopeas
Date of Birth:
State: Unknown
Comment: Family documents show Tecumopeas as daughter of Tecumseh (1768- 1814)and Mamate. Not sure if Tecumopeas is correct spelling. Tecumopeas married Rupert Collins. Their daughter, Jane Collins married Lewis Full. Their daughter, Amelia Full, married Samuel Sheppard. There are notes showing that Samuel's family was against the marriage because Amelia was "Indian". Amelia died in 1876. My wife is a direct descendent of Samuel and Amelia as their great, great, great granddaughter. My wife is also Cherokee. How does one calculate their Native American heritage in terms of a percentage? Is it based on the number of generations? What is the process for joining the Shawnee Nation?

Ancestors Name: TAYLOR, Franklin
Nee:
Date of Birth:
State: Kentucky
Comment: Franklin Taylor was born in Rockcastle County, KY in 1842. His daughter Samantha Jane (Taylor) Hall told family members that she was Half Indian. Some members stated that she said that she was half Shawnee. Her daughter Jennie Hall married a Frank Taylor who is listed on his WWII draft card as Indian. Her half sister Jennie Taylor married a Hopper who is listed on his WWII draft card as Indian. I cannot find any records that show Franklin or Samantha as Indian. Where do I begin?
