Ancestors Name: ROBERTS, Hilda
Nee: Unknown
Date of Birth: Unknown
State: Florida
Comment: This is my grandmother. I have only family oral confirmation that I am Seminole although my father, Robert E. Roberts, took my mother and I to the reservation when I was a child. Hilda was my father's mother. Our family separated when I was a young child and I didn't know my grandmother well or have an opportunity to learn about our family heritage or tribal ways although I was always included in my close friends' tribal lives (Western tribes). My parents and grandparents are all dead now so I have no other source of information. Whatever help you can provide with so little informaiton would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Ancestors Name: Aldridge, Charles and Alice
Nee: Simpson
Date of Birth:
State: Unknown
Comment: My grandmother was born Wilma Aldridge in 1905, we believe in Illinois. We have not been able to find a birth certificate. We are looking for her father and mother. A possible relation to Rutherford Aldridge born 1902 and his parents Myrtle and Eugene still alive in Seminole, Oklahoma at the 1920 census. Eugene was born about 1877 ands Myrtle was born about 1884 Dawes roll has Rutherford and his parents as #157. We have been told that my great grandfather may have been Charles full blooded Seminole and his wife may have been named Alice Simpson, we have found 2 Alice Simpsons on the Dawes Roll. Anyone who can help with any marriage info or my grandmother’s birth and parents would be wonderful. We have twins in our family due in Feb 2009 and it would be nice to pass on the knowledge of this side of our family to next generation Maureen Vaughn

Ancestors Name: HARBORD, Tish
Nee:
Date of Birth:
State: Florida
Comment: Approx dates 1890 - 1920: Tish HARBORD and mother(or daughter) were in Walton Co. FL. They were told they could go to Oklahoma or to the Everglades. They were taken to south Florida. A hotelkeeper - Mr. HINESLEY -intervened. . .went to where they were and 'bought' them (paid some sort of fee) and brought them back to Walton Co and their family. Tish worked in the hotel after that. We believe she was Seminole; not certain. Wish to find some documentation regarding this event to help determine her NA ancestry. Don't know where to search next...can anyone help, please.
