Comment: Wife named Julia JOE, Julia died in 1973 at the age of approximately 99.
She was commissioned by Hubbell's Trading Post in Ganado, AZ to weave the "World's Largest Navajo Rug" which was completed in 1935.I use my great-grandfathers name, because I don't know my maternal great-grandma Julia's maiden name. I can collect information on both of them. They resided in Greasewood, AZ which is a small Navajo Reservation community 26 miles east of Ganado. Four of their daughters' names are Erma JOE, Mary JOE YAZZIE, Helen Joe CLARK (all still living), and Lilly JOE HILL(deceased) and sons' Kee John JOE (still living) and Herbert JOE (deceased, all from Greasewood also.

Ancestors Name: LETSON, Catherine
Nee: STONER
Date of Birth: 1800
State: Canada
Comment: My ancestor, Catherine STONER was born 1800/02, she claimed "near Niagara Falls, Canada." Family tradition held that she was at least half Indian. I strongly suspect that she was the daughter of "Old Nick STONER, trapper." He was born 1761 in Mayfield, MD. He died New York, 1853. His Rev. War. pension papers of 1818 indicate that he had a daughter (aged 18) Catherine born then born either 1800 or 1802. In 1790 he resided Caughnawaga, Montgomery Co., NY. At times he was in Canada. Is Catherine indeed the daughter of Nicholas STONER? Was her mother of American Indian descent? The town of Caughnawaga later became known as Mohawk.

(victoriamemphis@aol.com) Any information leading to finding a lost sibling would be welcoming and fantastic. I am a permanent resident of Sydney, Australia and wish to establish a relationship with a lost sibling. I too was lost and found my father's family 17 years ago in 1989...but my father was long gone. The entire family is looking for this family person due to my insistance...I am very keen to find out the outcome and truely desire there to be a lost sibling...because I was once lost and now I must find everyone.
looking for the woman who had a relationship with Tom SAMMS by the name of Evelyn WHITEHORSE....I could be off on the names....but grandma SAMMS said this name she remembers and she remembers a pregnancy being mentioned.
