Ancestors Name: HALL, Laura
Nee: WISE
Date of Birth: unknown
State: Mississippi
Comment: I am an African American woman looking for information regarding my paternal grandmother. All of the information I have was told to me by my father. He stated his mother Laura WISE died when he was 9yrs. old. He was told she was half Choctaw and French. He was also told she came from the Choctaws in the hills of Mississippi. My grandfather's name was Henry T. HALL. They had three boys, John, Clarence, and my father Eddie. I have also been told one my sisters looks very much like my grandmother and was named after her. The description given of my grandmother was limited. She was said to be dark with long jet black hair that fell below her waist. If anyone knows anything of the Wise family or other sources please contact me.

Ancestors Name: DOZIER, Archie
Nee:
Date of Birth: December 10 1891
State: Mississippi
Comment: I am trying to find out if my husbands grandfather Archie DOZIER is listed in the Mississippi Choctaw Rolls. Archie's mother was full-blooded Choctaw. Archie married Angie Sirlestine MOORE. Angie's father is James MOORE who was married to a full- blooded Chickasaw named believed to be Cordelia REDMOND. Marriage records relating to James MOORE and a Chickasaw REDMOND have her name as either Delia or Delica REDMOND. Any information you can find for Archie DOZIER and even Cordelia REDMOND will be greatly appreciated. We have no records past Archie DOZIER or Angie MOORE so anything that pertains to these people will be an asset.
