Ancestors Name: Etheridge, Jesse
Nee:
Date of Birth: 1826
State: Tennessee
Comment: My ancestor is on the Dawes roll, the interviews are from his children Wiley Powell Etheridge and others. They lived in Texas at the time of their application. Their request was denied. Does this prevent them from tribal entry? Later on my grandmother told me that the bloodline was Choctaw and Chickasaw. Perhaps this is what prevented them from being accepted. I don't know. They had come from Paris, Henry Co., Tn.
