Ancestors Name: BOWLES, Mary
Nee: Unknown
Date of Birth: Unknown
State: Maryland
Comment: The name I am researching is my mother's grandmother. I was told that she is from Mattapony Maryland, and a member of the Algonguin tribe. The land that is Patuxent Naval Base, PAX Naval Station, belonged to her family. My mother had a newspaper clipping showing the land being given to the federal government by a member of her family. The land was taken by eminent domain. I am attempting to prove a geneology link so that my grandchildren may qualify for scholarships to college.

Ancestors Name: EMERY, Emma
Nee: FLAGG
Date of Birth: 1830-1850
State: New Hampshire
Comment: Family legend holds that Emma FLAGG was a half Indian who married Samuel T EMERY and had 3 children with him: Clara Isabel, George Willard , and Ada Francis. I have been told that she was the daughter of two popular families in Grafton, but other than that, I really know nothing. The only family member who could know anything won't say a word.
